This story is full of sensual, evocative language. It blew me away. The details are visceral, you'll feel every knot in the rope and each soft caress. Excellent dominance and submission. I'm pleased to see there will be additional stories with these characters.As for the story...Kara's first love left her heartbroken and her need to be dominated unfulfilled. Years later, she's trying to move on with another man, but it's not his name on her lips when she comes. When the opportunity to reconnect with her past arises, Kara must choose between two men: the one who loved and left her or the one who loves her only behind closed doors.
Her secret pleasure will not be denied any longer...it's time to make a choice.

From the get go of the story you are involved with the characters, you question their motives and who they are, you want the happily ever after but question the give and take, not to mention the forgiveness. I look forward to reading the whole series because this author has been able to do a Fifty shades of grey mixed with Days of our lives with more that a dash of scorching love scenes.
I wasn't sure about the story when read the synopsis but someone said it was good one... But as I began reading this is was captivating read that drawn me... Fast paced quick read that was interesting in some section and aggravating in others but overall a ok good read..

Really like it, unfortunately this author has a tendency to write the first two books of a trilogy and then stop. Otherwise I would have given more stars.
Unexpectedly good read. I have read a lot of bondage genres, but I really liked the way this author wrote on it. Good book
Am still not sure how I feel about BDSM but I can tell you this, their books are usually hot. I would love to read book 2 to see what happens to Kara and Sean/Marcus. An interesting combination, I think I favor Sean for this one at least Sean is not afraid/ashamed to be seen with Kara, but it appears Marcus is. Well may the best man win , I am throwing my hat in for Sean, he seen to be the one Kara really wants, I will look out for book 2. I was surprised by the length of it too, not too bad for a first book , some are way too short I think that the length of this is just right.
I think I might have found a new favorite author for bbw romance, mostly because I'm in love with the language this author uses. The characters and situations are so vividly described, with gorgeous turns of phrase and little sensory details I could practically feel and smell and taste. My favorites were the ones I used in the review title--the description of Marcus's rapacious hunger and wine-sweet lips--but the whole novella is like that. Heavy with mood, as the song (Fiona Apple reference) says.
I also loved the way the author introduced the whole Sean issue into the story (spoiler alert--might want to stop here!) in the middle of a sex scene with another character. That just came together beautifully.
This is a short erotica novella, but there is so much feeling to it. The characters are all so very alive, and they spark off the page and literally burn with emotion. Kara's love for Sean, who left her without warning years ago, is as fresh as it ever was. When she sees him again unexpectedly, it's as if no time has passed st all. The same fears and feelings flash between them, and the circumstances that tore them apart are meaningless in the light of a new day. It makes you sad that they wasted so much time, yet glad at the same time that they have another chance to make it right. Lovely story.
